Abhinav Bindra was born on 28th september 1982 in Dehradun but now he lives in Chandigarh with his family. He became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games and the first gold medal since 1980 for India by winning the gold in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

So Abhinav Bindra is the current World and Olympic champion in the 10 m Air Rifle event. Abhinav Bindra is one of the finest talent Chandigarh has produced before heading towards Beijing Olympic.
